about me
I am a master's-educated practitioner, with a focus on relationships and a specialization in ethical non-monogamy and other queer and non-traditional lifestyles. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned my master’s degree in Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University.
I have been working as an independent mental health practitioner for nearly a decade and have been involved in several communities advocating for the acceptance and normalization of gender, sexuality, and relational identification variances for over twenty years. As a Co-Lead for the American Psychological Association's Division 44 Committee on Consensual Non-monogamy, I worked to improve ease of access for clients seeking healthcare providers qualified to work with non-traditional partnerships and lifestyles.
I have elected to remain unlicensed so that I can maintain access to my clients across state lines and international borders. This choice also provides me the opportunity to hybridize my process and reflects the unique needs of each individual, relationship, and scenario which I encounter. I remain bound by the strictest standards and integrity.
Location & Travel
I offer sessions over Zoom video conferencing. I take pride in having provided convenient access to clients all across the United States, Canada, and in other areas of the world. I am especially pleased to assist those who have struggled to find a therapist competently prepared to work with their alternative relationship structures and lifestyles.
Pricing & Fees
It is important to me that people have access to a provider with open minded perspectives on relationship design. Call now to discuss my rates and availability. I do not accept insurance, however I can provide a superbill upon request.
The agreed upon session rate is due in full at the beginning of the session. Cancellations occurring within 24 hours of the appointment start time are subject to a fee equivalent to half of the agreed upon cost of that session. Cancellations made within 2 hours of our session will be charged the full session amount. I accept online payments through PayPal or Venmo.
Consultations
When you email me, I will typically respond within 2 to 3 business days. We will select a convenient time for a phone call or video chat lasting up to 20 minutes. During this brief session, I would like to hear about what is inspiring you to seek counseling at this time. I encourage you to ask me any questions that will help you decide if we are a good fit. Let's begin our journey together now.
